SG Declares Victory

Today on the HOTLINE, SG said the Factory Street Dog Park concept is dead and the sign will soon be removed.  Before that happens , Council should rescind the designation of that site. Counsel has previously held that resolutions passed by Council do in fact bind future councils.

Didn't you also pay for and have the sign made?

Is what he so badly stated today bout the plans the future we all face in Watertown? I'm so sick of what goes on in City Hall. Underhanded secret meets. Behind the walls promises. Important needs our city has, like a fire dept contract that would solves many problems. That just ends out in limbo. Why? We need help. While member's could have been working on real city needs, they work in secret on Dog Parks. Or how ever this stuff goes down. Donuts? Not sure. Jeff is right. Very sad to see it. For years it seemed smarts have been important in those chambers. Now? Sad.😑

The Factory Street site was dead upon announcement. That was the reason the Factory site was chosen, to kill the project. I have no interest in it. And I think it was a bad idea from the beginning. But the dishonesty about it from the very beginning is something citizens will never forget. It ranks right up there with urban renewal and the decline of municipal power. It doesn't matter what you think of it. The city was dishonest from the start.

I don't want your money spent for a dog park in Thompson Park either. But then again I didn't want MY money spent on a self congratulatory ugly monument in the park either...but I had no say in that.

Oh SG SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!

I hope SG doesn't start holding his breath. The Rev. was kind to meet with him but I believe that is all it was. I will be very surprised if this moves forward. SG has a way of believing in things that are not always based on truth or reality.
I also agree with the Council was dishonest in the first place and other than you, Mr. Graham, had no real intentions of seeing the Factory Street site through to completion. Not only was it dishonest but for the ladies that were trying to help raise funds, a waste of time. Not soon to be forgotten but actually no surprise. Seems like so many on Council over the years have been dishonest.
When you mentioned Smith is interested in Council again, I puked a little in my own mind and then I laughed. What a disappointment for ole Smitty, he had his sites set on first, the Mayors chair and then the Senate but now he is willing to run for Council again. I wonder if his wife still has the tiara she planned to wear when he LOST the Mayors seat to you. Boo hoo, thought they were moving to Henderson.

His incoherent babbling is difficult to listen to.

I don't know how you put up with it so long while in office

Now that you don't have to listen, you should just hang up on him.

We'd all appreciate it.

I don't want to see your money go to S.G.'s dog park either. Then again I didn't want my tax dollars to go to an 11 million dollar ice rink. Particularly one that was never bid or voted on.

11:11AM Do you want your tax dollars going to the fire fighters pension and gold plated health insurance policies where they don't pay for their fair share of co pays and premiums?

I can't figure out who is more annoying to listen to? SG or Ray. Ray, you are aware that all that you spoke of went on before this current administration, correct? I know you are frustrated that your bar friend got beat but road you are speaking of has been paved a long time ago. Time to move on and do what is right for the city and give the current council a chance to clean up past messes.

Along with SG, crazy ray should clam up also. Talking about a guy with nothing coherent to offer, yet is on every talk show and blog as if he is the local pundit.

I doubt if SG considers it a victory if the dog park is not on factory street. Not unless at the same time the dog park is planned for Thompkins Park. Then his big ego could bust out all over in celebration.

Every city and town has one, isn't Watertown lucky to have their very own nutcase?

All I can figure is Lazy Cray must spend a ton of money in that bar. What else could it be? Also...How did he ever get that name anyway? I mean, who names their kid "Ray"?

Hey 145 what is exactly a "Fair share?" for health insurance? And what leads you to believe it's "Gold Plated"? For years the COW would maintain The slogan "We can't pay you a whole lot of money, but your health Insurance is FREE, then the chiseling away of the benefit started, The COW $pent 75K on a study that found that most employees were underpaid ( I was doing a job that it was 4K) underpaid.........Oddly enough this study was used only for certain people and not across the board..

The Fox Lawson study was the study. You are correct that only some employees saw any change. I worked on it and saw the numbers.

O you trolls. You have such a good time. Learned already. I just sprayed the troll away and laughed. Scott didn't need to call Jeff. It was rude. All it was. But you and he never really got that. O it is what it is.

Agree with some poster , that the dog park plan on Factory Street was dead on arrival, the neighbors did not want this either.

Anyway I find it appealing and rude that people on this blog ridiculing and attacking SG for his speech expression instead of sticking with his talking points.
So far I know, he is a veteran with disabilities.

And for the dog park location: Why is it is no problem to put a ugly bail of stones called a Fort Drum Monument into to Thompson Park, but not a dog park, maybe on the Location on the Exit to Gotham Street?
Oh I forgot everything for Fort Drum and the ego of some self serving retired military living in city. Like Fort Drum does not have enough monuments already. @ 9:42 PM is right.
