Sad Sunday

Somebody asked me what was going on today on Gale Street as there was crime tape up...I didn't know and checked the media, but nothing there...I get that a lot, although Newzjunky is better than most at it.
The local news doesn't like crime coverage. The shootings on the near east side have people abuzz but in the paper the lead above the fold was another Addie Russell puff piece. Boy they've changed their tune about her since their ex staffer took over her messaging. The other major front page piece was a set-piece story on Start UP NY...Now that was a good expose but burying the spot news on the shootings on the back page was in my opinion a bad news call. They don't like me saying it, but that's too bad.
I heard chatter tonight that the old Carolyn Pontiac complex is being bought and will be a car wash and pizza shop. Anything is better than that long standing blight...
Everyone is aghast at the Orlando shooting.  People are tired of radical Islam, and in this case ISIS cynically used a recruit with anger issues towards gays to gin him up for the fight.
It is encouraging that I haven't heard any stupid comments about the victims in this tragedy, and wouldn't always have been the case. Attitudes are changing except in the medieval world of radical Islam.
This type of incident makes you think back over your years in the business and how you never know when trouble or nonsense will walk through the door. In addition to the dead and wounded, there's the people out of a job and the business owners who have lost everything.

Yes, it is encouraging that you haven't heard any stupid comments about the victims. But it is discouraging that the libtards are calling this a terrorist act and a hate crime. As if when the Islamic terrorist shot up the straight people at the Christmas party six months ago, that was an act of love.

This kind of bias is what can be expected in the current, Dannie slanted media.

Well it was encouraging, Mayor, until five of seven. Didn't last long as expected...

So much for the lack of stupid comments...

It was gratifying to hear our gov Benito puke nonsense about the need for more gun control in the aftermath of the Big Kill. How can a society be so stupid in electing such mindless, dishonest pukes as Benito Cuomo?

I'm amazed at all the incidents I've seen where nothing is reported at all. NJ does seem to be pretty good with their blotter, although listing speeding tickets in gouverneur is stupid.
I heard a famous restaurant owner's son recently ran someone over and took off but nothing was in the news about it.
I also heard there was quite a car chase in Chaumont this weekend that ended in the middle of the village and all there is on NJ is a "failure to comply" blurb.
Yet we all know that there's a sign up telling in a hot dog joint asking people to not shoot up at the table...

Many Islamic papers celebrated the shooting. That's the problem. Our government pretends it's not a religious problem. I can for sure tell you some followers of Jesus didn't feel bad for the 50 killed. Religion is a major problem all together.

Maybe the Carolyn Pontiac deal is the same Buffett group buying out Caprara's
