Republicans Still Wondering Who Will Be the Addie Slayer This Year

Who's  Bill Sheridan ?  His name was announced at a local GOP function last night as the third person seeking the line in the AD116.
So far Republicans Russ Finley and John Byrne have publicly stated their desire to run.
Mr. Byrne considers himself the presumptive nominee as a result of his near win two years ago when he lost by jut 92 votes.
Mr. Byrne told Republicans he wants to debate Democrat Addie Russell, signaling he will likely try to ignore his primary challengers and present himself as the inevitable nominee.
If a third person gets in the race, it's hard to know how that affects things

I mentioned Sheridan before as a possible candidate. As a current Hammond Town Justice, former county legislator and aide to David O'B Martin, he brings some decent experience and longevity in the district. He could give Addie a good run for her Shelly Silver dollars.

Late state by Sheridan but can't count him out as a former County party chair he still might carry weight.

1204.. Your right.. Someone has a fantacy recently.. Its not going to happen. Another two years of Addie..
And why not???
Possibly next election the Republicans can run Mary Rain for the spot. Shes certainly more popular than Byrnes, Finley, Nelson, Forsythe and any others that come to mind.

Maybe Doheny? I'm not sure he would consider a role with less power and cache though.

Bob McNeil hass been preparing Russ Finley for a possible debate and will be holding a fundraiser for Russ at the McNeil residence sometime in July. I also heard that Bill Nelson will be openly endorsing Finley this week.

No the Republicans are not wondering who will replace her. The seat is really worthless unless it is held by a donkey. Now if someone were to go up against AJR in a primary, we would like to see that. It would be nice to have an old style democrats take over for the ultra left wing, Silver lovin', abortion in the 9th month lovin', spend spend spend, free free free, AJR.

A debate ?? Not sure how that would benefit Byrne. He couldn't answer a question without consulting his benefactors first.
