Remember When Everyone Was Obliged to Say Marriage is Between a Man and a Woman

It's been five years since New York's SSM law passed and since then it's become the law everywhere and here in upstate about 6% of all weddings are same sex.
At the time it was a big issue and many felt obliged to voice their opposition in more rural areas, but today you never hear anything about it.
Recently the WDT reported on local school districts building floor to ceiling partitions in rest rooms so transgender people could visit rest rooms not matching the designation on their birth certificate.
There was actually no reaction to the story, showing a change in attitude or at least an ambivalence to it all.

It was predicted by sensible people, that SSM would lead to more idiocy and breaking of traditions that had long been established for a reason and not just to be mean. And that is exactly what has happened. Now we have the bathroom issue. And this week Obama lifted restrictions on transgender military people openly serving. Meanwhile we have an epidemic of rape and drug use in our country. And the the libtard answer to that, is to handle the rape allegations on campus, require written contract for coitus to be considered consensual and to legalize drugs, so we don't have to put anyone in jail.

BTW...your shot at more rural areas is complete BS. Democrats don't get elected in more rural areas. Obama and Hillary are on record saying marriage is between a man and a woman as recently as 4 years ago, because that's what voters believe. That is why over on the left coast, they put SSM to referendum and lost. It was the Court who gave us SSM, not the people.

There is no reason we cannot now move to polygamy. No court could or would stand in the way. Be proud.

7:47am, well spoken. But you will be criticized for speaking truth. It's funny that people do not remember yesterday, but anything today, is the truth. Many, many, people in this world have lost sight, of life, living only on what they want today, not sure at all, where they are headed. Well, hopefully my ramblings will deflect the criticism from you. Peace,, my friend.....

Jeff many still believe it is only to be between a man, a women, and nothing else. The sex that is. No one cares about a piece of paper naming people, and saying they are married. That is just a paper the states issue. There is no question that piece of paper is legal in most all states in America. To most it's the sex thing.
