Will North Country GOP Back Trump? Yes, But... | WWNY TV 7

An analysis piece by Scotty Atkinson ?   Well, it's interesting to say the least.....The leadership up this way doesn't get it.
When Scott called for comment they could have said:
"The party has spoken and while this was a feisty and unusual campaign, there are many reasons the North Country will consider supporting Mr. Trump as they hear more detail on his proposals. I look forward to hearing more from him as well in the weeks before the convention."
Or how about-"Damn straight we support Trump. He's a leader who can beat Hillary Clinton."
This grudging "I will support the nominee" or the outright repudiation of the presumptive nominee should force some people to realize that maybe people like them are the reason voters bolted.
This year has been a clear message that the party folk on both sides are held in low regard. The notion that the White House is so easily sacrificed just to hold on to incumbencies in lower office could backfire.
People support Trump because he is not "one of them".
For me, watching this year has been a chance for introspection and a wake up. Apparently not for others, although for the record, the Jefferson Chair did say he is a "team player" and will vote for Mr. Trump.

Now Speaker Paul Ryan says he can't support the Trump agenda ... ouch.

Trump rebuts and says he can't support the Speaker's agenda, either.

Love this crap, don't you ... pass the popcorn, show time.

The pundits and Media have been telling us over and over that Sanders and Trump are getting votes because they are not in the establishment. but that is simply total BS.

We support Trump because he is a fighter and when someone gives him crap he give it right back. George Will writes crap about him and Trump calls him a loser. Just like with McCain. The GOP has been trying to destroy the party for years by caving on everything. Meanwhile Cruz single handedly shut down the government over Obamacare and the GOP killed it in the election shortly after because of it.

And the GOP wants to cave in on illegal amnesty too. Trump is the one guy who says "no" (other than Cruz) and that is why Trump wins. Cruz could win but he has no personality compared to Trump.

ON the other side you have Bernie Freestuff Sanders winning the most votes. Its not because he is an outsider it is because he promises the most free stuff. but also because they hate Hillary. If Biden were running he would be dong better than her, and that is saying something.

The GOP has neither caved nor compromised, the latter being the definitive contributor to their demise. The Republican Party is getting what it deserves.

9:24 PM, The GOP has done nothing but cave and compromise for YEARS! It's about time we found someone who will stick to his guns and put up a fight.

People, You are not seeing the entire picture, you are all being played.

8:01, you're kind of right. The things people hate about the establishment is they compromise on our core values instead of standing their ground. And they sit there while the rabid dogs on the left rip them apart instead of fighting back.
