WDT: Downtown revitalization rally set for Thursday

Best wishes to Mayor Butler on the downtown grant application he has spearheaded.. The application will be outlined Thursday at the Historical Society.
Regardless of the results, downtown has seen a revival in recent years and stands as the capital of the region.
I am disappointed at the lack of a plan or action on the broken fountain. It's the broken window theory. Leaving something like that unattended sends a message and now I hear nothing will be done till fall.
Meanwhile a whole summer with orange tape on downtown's busiest intersection.
However the proactive stance towards the grant and PR effort to build support is laudable, and it will be interesting to hear about the plan.
