After a day of unheard of insults including serial philanderer and pathological liar, Ted Cruz ended the Indiana primary by watching Donald Trump best him handily and nearly lock down a path to 1237 delegates and the GOP nomination. The level of acrimony in recent days ensures a division between the final two frontrunners that will never heal.
For Mr. Trump, it's a steady path into port needing only 41% of remaining delegates.
For Senator Cruz, its a path to trying to disrupt the convention through rules fights, since he has more actual people on the floor than first ballot votes.
However many will abandon Mr. Cruz to avoid a scorched earth week in Cleveland.
On the Dem side it looks like perhaps a close race that is also headed to the convention where Hillary Clinton will rely on Super Delegates and pledged delegates to get the nomination.
