Rants and Rants

Little Q called me this afternoon to tell me Glenn and I were being trashed on Rants and Raves. Like I am supposed to care ?     I asked the bartender at Pete's if she would serve a visibly pregnant woman and she said no or at least short-shot her.  I was then asked if I would serve an Amish person who couldn't produce ID because they don't want to be photographed. I said no as that sounds like some scheme Albany would sanction to screw small business.

How can you be 100% sure it's really a woman these days?

It could be a gender confused who had some surgery done to look pregnant, or was wearing one of those strap on baby belly's.

Or it could just be a beer gut.

All okay to serve either way.

Personally, I think a bartender refusing to serve or short shoting a visibly pregnant woman,is making a moral judgment beyond the job description. None of your damn business if the person is not inebriated. The government intrudes enough in our lives without our local barkeeps sticking their nose in it.

12:00 - You need to look at it from the barkeep's perspective in todays nanny gov'mnt, law suit prone environment. They are an easy scapegoat for someone who makes poor choices, or some idiot bureaucrat trying to impress a superior.......

Fetal alcohol syndrome is one more way to get more democrat votes.
What do you do if you are a "mandated reporter" working part time as a bar-keep? Do you serve them and then report yourself?

Currently no NY law exists concerning serving pregnant women? However common practice is to not serve child bearing women, which is based on health science, respect and human decency for the unborn.

When does a fetus get equal rights any way?

Funny that until the child takes it's first breath it is forced to drink whatever the mother chooses. After that breath it is 21 years before the next legal drink.
