Old Home Comes to Life

A Watertown woman with property management experience has bought one of the city's signature homes. The former Sisters home on Clinton Street is bought by Allison Carlos, whe will live there with her foster kids.
The home used to house nuns working at Mercy Hospital.

Wow, the young woman must be doing very well. Or something. But property in the city is selling for far below its value. Her biggest problem won't be the purchase price, but the taxes.

Taxes and upkeep/maintenance. As one who has lived in one of these beautiful old Victorian mansions for 40 plus years (and would do it again) I can say with authority that it takes more than an average area salary to keep up.
