N.Y. campaign consultants made $115M to get pols elected - NY Daily News

Big money for big jobs in NY politics....Statewide office, Legislature, City of NY....and many smaller races fatten the wallets of the state's many political consulting firms...some based here, some not.

It's a world generally alien to NNY where the elected posts are largely local yokel, although we have seen some of it in our state and federal legislative races.

Results are sometimes mixed as well, but its clear, the power, prestige and influence of office makes winning worth the investment.

I can't say its worth the investment from what I see. Look at the Jeb/Woolfe/Donheny types and what they get for the money. The best consultant would most often say, "don't bother".

At the same time, like anything, there is a knack/art/science to getting elected. But I think I would pay YOU to tell me how to do it, before I would pay one of these high priced "experts".

One thing many of us have learned this year without a doubt our vote does not count.. Only the people with money count. Only the people with money can run.. Only the people with money control this country and only the people with money control the world. then I thought of something I had read years ago and this is it.
"As George Carlin put it, "When fascism comes to America it will not be in brown and black shirts. It will not be with jack-boots. It will be Nike sneakers and Smiley shirts. Germany lost the Second World War, fascism won it. Believe me, my friend." Also, Aldous Huxley had an interesting quote on the matter, "The twenty-first century will be the era of the World Controllers... The older dictators fell because they could never supply their subjects with enough bread, enough circuses, enough miracles, and mysteries(religion). Under a scientific dictatorship, most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution. There seems to be no good reason why a thoroughly scientific dictatorship should ever be overthrown." And just in case you're skeptical here is a quote from David Rockefeller, someone at the very top of the hierarchy, “We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years......It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.” He's essentially, along with trying to mandate a universal government, condemning people deciding for themselves what their government should be like, which directly violates John Locke's theory that government should only serve the people, not the other way around like Rockefeller is endorsing."

The mafia is alive and well. It's just changed it's form. The government is now the mafia. They just do it with tax dollars and not through neighborhood bullying. Time to eliminate the Assembly to start. Then we can proceed from their. But, remember, it's all the fault of Big Ed.

11:55, Big Ed is one of the most inflexible, self serving mass of greedy clods our nation has to deal with. The children have nothing to do with it anymore.
