Long: NY's Conservative Party 'Overwhelming for Trump

The C line in NY will be the Trump line in November as Conservative Chair Mike Long is quoted as saying his "me too" party will indeed back the native New Yorker in the fall. There is even a feeling NY would be in play although a Republican hasn't won here since 1984 and the state seems firm for Hillary Clinton.  More important to be in play would be PA and MI.

It's time for leading Republicans to stop with the "I support the nominee" or "we can't afford the election of Hillary Clinton."   Time to say it, and put aside concerns over what the bow tie Republicans will say.   Recently GOP Assembly hopeful Russ Finley said he is firmly for Mr. Trump, while his likely primary foe John Byrne has said nothing but did attend the last month's John Kasich rally in Watertown, while Mr. Finley attended the Trump rally and met the candidate.

NY's Conservative Party 'Overwhelming for Trump,' Puts State in Play

Very sad that NYS Conservative Chair Long can't see through the charade by the Art of the Con, the Artful Dodger Trump.

Trump is no way no shape or form and has no conservative values whatsoever. He is a Democrat through and through.

How do we know thats what Mike Longs party wants his vote is the only one that matters. Funny party to belong to.. Hank Ford runs our in SLC and what he says locally goes and Mike long runs State wide and what he says goes..
I guess thats why we have secret ballots. If Byrnes gets the nod over Finley its a fixed ballot

Byrne is not worthy of any GOP support if he cant back our presidential nominee. Like Stefanik unless she gets on board I suggest just dont vote or pull her and his opponents lever.
The last I knew she worked for us and we by a vast majority want Trump in this District.

Donald Trump. This is what we are left with. As a staunch republican, I can't believe this blowhard flip flop king is what this party is left with. And, the party deserves it. Hillary "Criminal" Clinton wins in a walk. It only gets worse from there. She may be the most unfit candidate since, well, the last democratic candidate. But hey there is silver lining. While the borders get overrun, ISIS moves in to the US, and the middle class disappears, Mrs. Clinton will be sure to continue to push the agenda the current President has and we will have cross dressing bathrooms all over our great country. After all, this is such a critical issue...God help us all.

Poor Russ, no support from the county or the committee.

Mr. Long you made the right choice for America and the Conservative Party can be proud they're part of the solution! Mike Flynn 'Middle Class Mike'

Finley doesn't deserve the line. He used to be a conservative, then changed parties. Quitter.

Funny, but not in a ha-ha funny way, more like ironic maybe how all Republicans running for office always claim to be "conservative and wave that banner and stand on that platform," yet a very few, extremely very few, I mean really very small number are indeed enrolled as "conservatives." Why is that do you suppose?
