The C line in NY will be the Trump line in November as Conservative Chair Mike Long is quoted as saying his "me too" party will indeed back the native New Yorker in the fall. There is even a feeling NY would be in play although a Republican hasn't won here since 1984 and the state seems firm for Hillary Clinton. More important to be in play would be PA and MI.
It's time for leading Republicans to stop with the "I support the nominee" or "we can't afford the election of Hillary Clinton." Time to say it, and put aside concerns over what the bow tie Republicans will say. Recently GOP Assembly hopeful Russ Finley said he is firmly for Mr. Trump, while his likely primary foe John Byrne has said nothing but did attend the last month's John Kasich rally in Watertown, while Mr. Finley attended the Trump rally and met the candidate.
