Did Cincinnati Zoo really have to kill a rare gorilla? - CNN.com

As is the custom these days a makeshift memorial has been erected for......the simian shot to death when a four year old boy fell into a gorilla exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo. Some are questioning the split second decision to kill the rare 17 year old gorilla. Others say the parents should be charged while others say it was the prudent decision.
This is a made for cable news incident on a holiday weekend and there's video to boot.
     What do you think ?

Child vs animal ...What was that stupid question again?

The parent may not have been watching as closely as she should have been, but she wasn't the one being dragged through the water by the ape.

I wasn't there thus cannot question the decision. It sure was made quickly though. The parent should lose custody of the child. I'll bet if you did a search of the phone records, you would fine a very important phone call behind this mess.

If thy would have waited until the kid was dead before they shot the gorilla, everyone would be screaming they waited too long. By the way gorillas are not THAT rare.

Whether or not the parents should be charged for the replacement of the gorilla depends on the circumstances and you sure as shootin' ain't gonna get the real story from the MSM.

The gorilla was definitely a foreign terrorist. Not only should they have shot him, Obama also needs to deploy drones over every zoo to make sure nothing like this ever happens to a child again. Mario and schumer can pass new laws prohibiting humans from even going to zoos. Instead people can watch wild animals from the safety of their own homes, however state and federal law shall require all viewers to wear a pith helmet when viewing.

Alternatively it would have been a pretty sweet video, had the gorilla handed the kid back. But we shall never know.

Save the child was the only choice to make and they did it.

The only ending for this is correct.

3:10, if they had waited till the kid was dead, then mommy could talk on the phone all she wanted with no crimp on her time. Besides, we could have called it a late, late term abortion and Democrats all over would have wet panties, per se.

6:27, amazing how you can tie any story, no matter how remote, to your hatred of Democrats. There's meds that can help you, seek them out - and shut off your TV and computer for a while.

10:27, I am pretty good at it, aren't I. As Glenn says, thanks for noticing, as it were. As long as I can bring joy to a party stooge like you, it's all worth it, per se. I am signed up for leadership training soon, so I will be busy for just a bit. Hang in there. I love you.

Couldn't be more wrong moron (5:03). You're not good at anything including assuming you know who is responding and their party affiliation. I'm not a Democrat, nor the person you like to berate daily. Just someone that reads the blog and would like to read at least one post that's not a Democrat bash fest.

Can't even come up with your own lines?

You might as well give it up,10:14,most have already concluded that guy is mentally ill and will always have the last word as part of his twisted superiority complex.Ignoring his hateful rants is about the best one can do, then he is stuck in his own weird universe alone.

Even if it meant the end of the species, it was the right thing to do.

To bring such joy and happiness to so many brings warmth to my heart, per se.
