Council Touches on Budget Issues.....

Appropriation of fund balance, adding $150K to sales tax revenue and cutting out the management raises were among the items discussed at the City Council meeting.  The addition of a transit director was questioned too.  More budget talks are slated for Wednesday and next Monday.
Council also approved a resolution urging the county adopt single stream recycling.

A number of years ago a CM presented merit raises for management, oddly this was done away with maybe it's time to go back.

I remember that 7:03. What is most interesting to me about the article is the coffee lady (who now has to think on her own) making the statement that some of "her" staff is overpaid and some are underpaid. Although I do agree with that statement, how do you say that in the meeting. My question if I was an esteemed member of the press would be Ms. Macaluso...who do you think is overpaid?? That would make a great story and junknews and the Times could have a field day with that one.

If council is "underpaid" then it's probably more than what they are worth anyway.

Danny you know better, time to leave. I listen to you and nobody cares. It is not your fault.
