Castle Continues Long March Back

I remember a family trip to the Bay as a child. Staying at Pine Tree Point and visiting Boldt Castle. Since then the castle and Pine Tree have taken different paths.
My view of the castle in the 1960s was one of amazement of what could have been but was by then a devaying, graffit filled hulk. The fun was in reading all the names and dates of people who had scribbled on the walls.
Systematically over fifty years the Bridge Authority has been reclaiming the castle from the ravages of time.  No longer is anyone stripping roofing and wiring for the copper and there is a lot to see.

Like many locals I have not been there in years, but it certainly is a key to tourism that is getting better with age.
Because the axiom is true. They don't build them like that anymore.
