WDT: State Says Pamelia Is Too Flush

Money piled up in the coffers of the Town of Pamelia and the people paid no town property tax.
The high fund balance was criticized in a state audit , but wasn't it fiscal prudence from Supervisor Longway ?

Everyday is opposite day when it comes to the donkey state.
There nothing worse than not spending all the money the govenrment takes in and then some for good measure. Not to mention, a lot of law firms do not get their fair share of the pie when you do internal loans. Tsk tsk tsk Larry. How dare you do what is smart !?! Don't worry, the new guy will spend it. Money is meant for spending.

Kudos to Perrykos for crafting a headline that takes the side of the donkey dumbass auditor.

So here is a town with a not too old building that is falling apart from lack of upkeep, highway equipment in disrepair, a 2 man highway crew very close to retirement and no plans to hire anyone to be able to take over, and that's "fiscal prudence?"

From the same man who justified the arena project saying the city had failed to keep up with the maintenance on the old facility?

That's rich...

Fact - it's illegal to loan money from the general fund to the restricted water funds unless the money is repaid in the same fiscal year. You can't just decide to do a multi-year loan so you can collect the interest.

Longway did whatever he wanted, including the pre-meeting meetings where he met with every councilman and made sure they were on board with his wishes and the real board meeting was just a formality where they all voted as he instructed.

Good riddance....

Hey 309 one year the Willowbrook golf course had no water...Upon further review the bolts were eaten away because of so much road salt applied.......Think about it...

3:09 The water coming from DANC that you pay for is already exceeding the MCL.

A lot of housing projects built in Pamelia. Also there are businesses that seem to create tax money in the Industrial Park there. There is a big middle school there as well. Does Drum and the Feds give any money to Pamelia? The Troopers are located there: but no jail. Maybe they should build another jail out there with all the left over money. Save us from making more room in the Sheriff's jail. (CO's B&B)
Does Willow Brook contribute a lot of money in sales tax?
I'm not sure how they came to have so much money when their residence don't pay taxes???
