WDT: Mary Rain's Crosses Many to Bear and She Got One More

Mary Rain was elected by the people and endorsed in that effort by some of the most respected people in politics and media. Is it up to the SLC Legislature to pass "no confidence" resolutions in hopes Albany will remove her. That's what elections are for.
Mary Rain's Election Night Faux Pas...(That's a print photographer in background)

This was all so obvious election night with the swilling of the champagne which was chronicled by her media benefactors but nicely and neatly covered up.

Yes, from the picture it was obvious from the beginning, the media was going to hound her and criticize her over the least little thing. Contrast that with our Jefferson County DA, who the media completely ignores unless they are doing a free image advertising story for her.

Rain is not without fault over everything she has been accused of, but democrats and RINO's are more at fault and the media is the most at fault for making much ado about nothing their lead story every night.

Just because you were elected does not mean you can't be removed due to personal misconduct and failure to properly do your job.

Yesterday's "No Confidence" vote was a waste of the county legislature's efforts and was time that could have been spent on more pressing issues like the fiscal health of the county (or lack thereof). It was truly a meaningless gesture.

If the previous news articles are true in that she allowed a subordinate, who was not licensed to practice law, to conduct a felony trial on behalf of her office, she will be held accountable by the Third (Judicial) Department's Committee on Professional Standards. While disbarrment would seem excessive, it is entirely reasonable that they will suspend her from the practice of law for 6 months and that will provide unbiased and concrete grounds for her removal - not some "no confidence vote" by a committee of the county legislature consisting of non-attorneys.

Of course, I wonder who will indict her for facilitating the unauthorized practice of law by her subordinate? Maybe one of the many on her "list?" Stay tuned...

846. I,ll make this short for you.. From the start she showed she was incompetant and she tried to intimidate everyone with the Grand Jury thing and yes Democrats, Republicans and those Rinos you refer to are at fault.. They run to the polls and vote straight party just to gloat over who wins...Same thing with your County Clerk..
