WDT: Local Assessment of Kasich Visit Positive, Media Gets Chance to Write Even Bigger Stories Today

While national media took an awkward remark about college coeds as the takeaway from the Kasich visit to Watertown, locally the visit got high marks for the discussion on health care and jobs. One local editor took to Facebook to call the national attention on the coed remark "despicable and bulls---."
Do you think the purported SLU student was a plant to put the Governor off guard ?
Today the visits by Bill Clinton and Donald Trump will show the disparity again. Locally we look at the visits as a novelty and a special event. Nationally, it's just another dot on the map and the story is about whether someone says something goofy, or controversial that the media can make into something. And a scuffle from a protestor or two....all the better.
Last night Rachel Maddow did a long segment on sound bites she says shows Governor Kasich's patronizing attitude towards women, and the segment was capped by the video from where ? Little Watertown, NY.
Let's hope everyone enjoys seeing these national figures today.

What is patronizing, is asking what a president is going to do about sexual assault. As if womyn need the president to take action.

What is patronizing is to dismiss the fact that excessive alcohol consumption is a factor in the vast majority of sexual assaults.

You're right 7:34. Let's raise the legal age for alcohol consumption to 25 so we reduce the possibilities of assault on campuses.

Jeff, have to say that I've not heard anyone talk with glee about possible conflicts at rallies as you have. Do you get that innocent bystanders could be hurt by those morons starting them? Save your money for WWE tickets if you want to see people scrapping and getting paid for it.

Great WDT article highlighting Donald Koon.

I was sitting right behind the young lady. I feel that the question was asked to elicit a response that would look bad no matter what the Gov said. Liberal politics as usual.

I wonder how this vaginally equipped stooge got time off work?
