Upstate fast food workers could make more than other minimum wage workers | syracuse.com

I was thinking about this disparity and it's amazing the Albany brain trust didn't address it. Best way is to get rid of these "wage boards" before the Governor convenes one again.

All you folks working on local farms get out and apply and McDonalds and Burger King etc soon. Leave the shitty jobs (no pun meant) for the much higher wage and better conditions. Farmers have had life to easy up her in NNY aided by the illegals they hire.

Put the blame where it belongs. The GOP. They voted in their leader to be the third man int eh room and he folded like a cheap suit. We expect this out of the totalitarian unfreedom communist donkey party. We expect better out of pAddie Ritchie's party. what exactly did they get for caving on the minimum wage? Another year of being in power?

I'm wondering who is going to paint that line that divides $15 from $12 an hour? This seems like a discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen.

3:55pm, you should get off your lazy butt, and get a job on a farm. It might wake you up, to what work is. For most folks, farming is a way of life. Those that do hire illegals, are only in it for the potential profits.

There are more unicorns working 40 hours a week than fast food workers.

And why is it news??? We already knew they were raising minimum wage for fast food workers more than the regular minimum wage. Everyone already knows that $15 an hour is more than $12.50

6:40, its news because the GOP folded on every single issue in exchange for nothing. It was assumed by most of us, that one thing the GOP would insist on before agreeing to any minimum wage increase, was eliminating the law that allows the governor to unilaterally change the minim wage.

How does fort drum deal with this. Many on base will earn sub minimum wages

7:02, headlines and articles should be about things like that, not that people paid $15 an hour make more than people paid $12.50. Then again, that's probably news for the idiots who agree with raising the minimum extortion wage.
