In case you forgot, Democrat for Congress Michael Derrick just recently registered to vote in NNY after living years in Colorado. The Clinton County native got a dose of opposition research in a story printed in the Washington Free Beacon, a house organ for GOP candidates wanting a way to get a story out the local MSM won't touch or do the research on.
The Beacon reports Mr. Derrick and his wife still own six Colorado properties assessed for $1.3M, a reminder he regional ties.
These days everybody likes to talk of "deep roots" in the district. This story speaks not only to roots but also to money.
I just wonder how much anyone pays attention to all this. It was like all the "you're really from Albany County" stuff two years ago. I looked at it like, what are you doing now and do I want you to represent me ?
