It is good to see our democrat mayor voice his opinion. I wonder who told it to him?
Sounds like he would like to continue his vocational trajectory from political patronage jobs he is unqualified for, up through the ranks of the NYS elected offices, for which he is unqualified for.

Really 147? I am pretty sure he is a Republican for starters. Also, he was born and raised in Watertown, educated locally, son of a former Mayor, has an MBA and a background in finance, and served several terms as a Councilman. What more do you want? If he is not qualified who is?

Get over it 1:47...your guy lost and move on. Troll

The mayor is republican I thought? Never mind Albany we need to clean up our local mess and unethical behavior that one could call a conflict of interest who get much more than $15 per hour!

Republicans don't have the city run a snack bar when there is an easy smart alternative.
Republicans don't praise the raising of the minimum wage.
Butler has never accomplished anything other than landing political patronage jobs where nothing is required of him.

Why the hell did he issue that statement. Butler knows how this budget will affect small businesses. So when the bank hires a new employee, can they do a thorough background criminal check, no not anymore.
Paid family leave Joe, how is the bank going to be able to afford to give up to 3-4 months of a girlfriend's boyfriend mother needs help since he is overwhelmed and needs a break from her stressful job.

You never ever say thata boy Andy. Addie can use this in her campaign ad, Joe Butler Mayor of Watertown a supporter and approves of Governor Cuomo and the Democrat Legislative work on NYS budget.

Who is going to pay for this Joe??????

7:51, Joe doesn't care. He learned early in his life and he learned nothing else, that its not what you know, its who you know. His obvious goal is to be in Albany some day, passing the same kind of laws. And in the mean time he hopes to get a Dede, June, Darrell job, though public butt kissing.

7:51 Who is going to pay you ask, the taxpayers. Joe just got AJR reelected.

Thanks Joe. Can you dump your stupid advisor already?

11:23 Say It Ain't So Joe, stupid stupid move.

I agree, Addie's first ad Joe Butler sending smooches with heart shape kisses on the add with a photoshot of Cuomo.

In the words of 9:35, get over it. Majority are pleased with the ne w Mayor and current council.

Hee hee...you guys are as big of a joke as Butler's career.
Some of us actually had aspirations in life and purposely made careers out of actually DOING SOMETHING that involves using talent, brains and hard work. Its not too late for Butler to try. At least then he could look in the mirror everyday without felling the shame. But we won't hold our breath.

6:59, you must have a personal axe to grind with Butler. Read the post from 8:17, sounds to me like Butler is using talent, brains and working pretty hard. How about you?
