Lost My Watch

Today one of life's annoying things happened. I got home from Planet Fitness shortly before eight this morning with no watch on my wrist.  I always put the watch, keys, phone and wallet in the locker and lock it up but I think when I pulled my bag out the watch must have fallen out on the floor
I noticed a couple a strange faces there at the time but gathered my things and left.
Once home, I called the desk clerk who was kind enough to check out the locker room and I drove back to look. I saw one of the dudes and ask if he'd seen it but he said he'd just gotten there. Sure.
It was a 15 year old Movado that had sentimental value. Silver in color, and I'd appreciate it back.
I'd recognize the dude again, and will be more inquisitive next time.
Was it my fault ? Yes.  But there's nothing lower than a common thief and liar.  Just like it back, no questions asked.

Put Dandy Don on the case... he might remember for a couple of minutes... and if you are lucky you'll get a Benrus self winding back in replacement.

The guy that stole your watch probably a Democrat, and a golfer, so he was entitled to it. Look at it this way. You didn't really earn it. Remember that line of Obama bs?

Yesterday morning about 8:45 I was at Walmart in Leray.

After I parked and was walking into the store, I saw a pair of eyeglasses on the pavement behind a parked vehicle. I picked them up and immediately took them to customer service. The person who lost them HAD to still be in the store because if they belonged to someone walking back to their car, they would have seen them. If they belonged to someone in the car where they were found, they would have seen them when loading their car.

When I handed the glasses to the lady at customer service, I told her they were just found, outside the grocery section, behind a black Ford Edge parked in the handicap section, and asked her to announce the found glasses were at customer service. She looked at my dumbfounded and said "I'll have to see what they want to do with them". Guess what ... they announced nothing!

Afterwards I was talking to a friend who works cashier at Walmart and she told me that all they do is throw anything found in a box and wait. It's disturbing that Walmart won't bend over an inch for customers ... now probably someone will have to spend a couple hundred dollars on new glasses because Walmart was too lazy to announce they were found.

But then again ... it's Walmart.

No it wasn't your fault, it was the thief's fault. This business of it being OUR fault something got stolen because WE didn't secure it properly is BS.

Walmart is a dumb hillbilly store who sells junk from china and mexico , I would rather spend a dollar more buying american. But then again this country lets in so much junk from outside the country its hard to find anything today made in america. And we can thank ALL OUR CROOKED POLITICIANS for allowing that to go on.

6:07am; I have to agree with your view. It's sad that in this country, helpful people attitudes, are starting to disappear. It's coming down to this. More and more people, like the media for example, want to know about everyone's business, thrive on the dirt, but want to keep their hands clean, when it comes to helping someone out. You did your part to be helpful, god knows you did too.

Well at least you didn't report it to the cops. Goodness knows they have better things to do than worry about such fru fra.
