Is There Something Going Around We Should Know About

The sudden death of Prince by what in some accounts was a sudden onslaught of the flu or a cold, brought out stories today about several local passings of people told they have a bug, go home and don't make it to morning.
You hear these stories from the kind of older folks who hang at the Legion and keep track of such things. You don't hear about it in the media, but I wonder if there is some killer strain going around. ?

I don't remember if it was last winter (2014-2015) or the year before. But, a handful of middle-aged (40's and 50's) locals succumbed to the flu.

Prince was treated for drug overdose in the last week. His so-called flu and the emergency landing was to take him to the ER to get a "save shot" which is what they give you for an opiate overdose, or AKA heroin OD. Sounds like he has been up here in Watertown or Jeff county

What's being overlooked and certainly not being reported is the fact the current administration is releasing thousands of drug traffickers from federal prisons at the same time we're in the midst of an escalating drug crisis. Contrary to what people may think, the people being released are not minor violators but are people who were convicted of drug running often accompanied by firearms violations. The current Candidates from the Democratic party want to further expand that program. Furthermore, just today we learn the Governor of Virginia though executive action is restoring the right to vote to almost one quarter million convicted felons.
