Hillary Clinton: Experience with men 'off the reservation' like Donald Trump - CNNPolitics.com

       Wow...Count me as suitably emasculated.

Putting aside that if anyone else said "off the reservation" CNN would label it "racist", but the gender war is on.

I heard about this on Rush the other day, as he was trying to make fun of it. I think the direction Rush was going was to infer she was referring to her husband.

But my first take was like yours. I was tip of her hat to the policy of forcing Indians onto reservations.

But more importantly, the idiomatic expression "off the reservation" implies that the person who dared to stray off the reservation should never oh been confined to the reservation in the first place. Almost always, the person who "strays off the reservation" is doing what is right in spite of what a clique is trying to force them to do.

The nitpicking on every sound bite, snippet and faux pas ... entertaining, but a bit overboard.

We have a lot of expressions in English ... "off the reservation" is not an insult to Native Americans as it was back in the 1800's while we settled the Wild, Wild West. In short, we are too sensitive, most of these comments are not done with malice -- that is the key.

As usual Dan, the point goes over your head.

Dan, how can you say were are too sensitive. Your entire life, known as the
Democrat party, consists of people who are offended. All your little people are victims of something or another. You can't have it both ways. Unless you view that as leadership, as it were.

12:37, you don't know him very well. Having it both ways is what defines him. Fore instance, take his stance on taxes and "paying your fair share". He is more than fine with paying zero NYS income taxes on his pension. In fact, he insists on it. But that won't preclude him from advocating that YOU pay more taxes and everyone else, "pay their fair share".
