Harriet Tubman ousts Andrew Jackson as new face of the $20 bill | Daily Mail Online

It won't happen till 2030 or later, and by then paper money will be less used than today....Harriet Tubman will grace the $20, replacing Old Hickory, President Andrew Jackson.

At least the government didn't sell naming rights. Ms. Tubman led an impressive life and I understand change isn't easy, but President Jackson was a Democrat so getting rid of him will be OK in some quarters.

Just don't anyone be thinking replacing Ben Franklin on the C note.

Sorry to say but she is ugly don't know if I would like that in my wallet .And race has nothing to do with it. If she was white green or blue that's and bad pic.

That is one ugly woman. I will spend those things as fast as I get them.

I'll ask for Hamiltons instead of these fugly new $20's.

Lets face it, the dead people on the rest of our currency, would not exactly take first price in the swimsuit competition. Yet you single this woman out for her looks?
You guys are a bunch of racists.

But still...I admit, someone should shrink her head so there isn't so much ugly on one bill.

Better she be put on the penny!

Watch for the offensive markings on the photo image by the usual 'nut cases.' Of all the presidents on our paper money I wonder how great they actually were. Of course some owned slaves and were the 'privileged class.

This woman was a true American hero, and people are insulting her looks. This sadly is the world we now live in. Here's a little reading material for the ignorant, none of them would be as brave as her.

Seeing as we have to get all PC with our money, my first thought was they should have put a Native American on it. Then I remembered that there was the $1 coin with Sacagawea for that, so base covered.

Then there should be an African American male on something. Maybe get JFK off the 50 cent, and put the real 50cent on there. Perfect sense.

Of course you cannot forget the LGBT community, so as the penny might go away, why not make a new denomination. Try a $3 coin, maybe with a hole in it like those fancy European coins, and of course Caitlyn Jenner would just have to go on that one.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the oppressed peoples in this nation, but I'll leave that for others to figure out.

Just get these old guys off my money, No one knows who they are. What did they do to deserve being on my money anyway? Other than being slave owners of course.

The times they are a changing.

Dont worry guys by the end of next year Hillary would be on it and Patti and Addie on each side of a one.

Garbage like this is why I'm voting Trump for president. Although his comments today about the "bathroom issue" didn't thrill me. I prefer what Cruz said. Having presidential candidates make statements about idiotic gender legislation is a pretty sad state of affairs anyway.

Hey,I think it is healthy to be allowed to say she was one ugly woman.Doesn't matter what race she is,it just the way it is.Isn't freedom and being allowed to say what you think what this country was founded on? She did good things, but geez, not gifted with looks.I would be willing to bet there are a lot of black folks who are saying the same thing.

To 8:26 how was saying she is ugly that's racist please explain that to me . If I said that black women is ugly yea or that Jew is ugly yes that would be racist. Its like if someone called me fat which I am and I said that's racist that would be wrong. But come on she was hit with the ugly stick really bad its just a fact . Nice person did a good job saving slaves but she is ugly . Even a blind man could see she is ugly facts are facts.

@9:07 PM
Yes, and black friends of mine are saying that about Michelle too.

Anyway, maybe they should create a $ 25 Bill for Harriet and leave the $ 20 Bill alone.

11:14, First off, I was only kidding about it being racist, playing off the golf course guy meme.

Second off, it is racist because Susanne B. and Abe were both fugly as well as Benjamin Franklin. Seems we hold black womyn to a higher standard in the looks department.
