TWC News: Congresswoman Stefanik Mum on Support for Republican Presidential Candidate

The media keeps asking Elise Stefanik who she is voting for next Tuesday.  She keeps declining. No one else in politics locally gets asked.

For those of us who enjoy the parlor game of politics, we are curious, but really does it matter ? Will it change anyone's vote and is there any good reason to "endorse" anyone and risk picking the loser or offending your own voters who are likely passionate in some cases.
Saying who you are voting for gets you little and risks more, unless you are going full bore campaigning for the person.
I don't expect she will be in Watertown this weekend for Kasich or Trump events, and the election may come and go and we will never know.
The other day, Mayor Giuliani revealed he is voting for Trump but not "endorsing" him. That just sounded weird, so unless you are recommending to voters, there is no gain by just saying you are  voting for someone.
For the record there are other Republicans and Democrats for whom I would be curious to know who they are voting for. But really its none of my business....However if they want to tell me, I'll print it here.

She wont support anyone openly because the party privileged elite havnt decided yet who to run.. If Romney or Ryan get the nod she will be all wet and fuzzy about that...

She will DO as she is told by her PAC masters .

Button that collar, Don!

I wonder if she is remaining mum because she expects Paul Ryan to take over in the contested nomination. There was a video clip last week, shown several times on national news, where I believe she had just introduced him to speak, and it showed her walking away with a very strange look on her face, like smug or the cat that killed the canary..perhaps she would be due a high ranking post if he slides in there and won it all.

If you haven't put two and two together of what is going down behind the scenes from insider land to outsider from local to dc to national pundits she is getting pressured from all sides.

Stay the course Stefanic, too bad you aren't 35. You are wise beyond your years but that is of course why we voted for you.

It's her vote. I don't care if she votes for Clinton. Her vote has nothing to do with mine. If you are not part of the herd, you don't need help.

The people who will never voter for and did never for her, demand to know who she supports...and she owes that to them !

10:18 Who do you think needs her endorsement the most, probably where the dirty tactics or the pressure is coming from. Would love to be in her shoes at the convention.

Stop soft peddaling for Stefanik Jeff.

She wants it both ways. She's demanded that our local county committee endorse her two years ago. When she was rebuffed she showed her true colors.
She shouldn't expect from anyone what she's not willing to do herself.

Where are his eyes, my only question?

Be fair Jeff! The media is asking because it was her campaign who made a big deal out of who her opponent was voting for in the Governor's race the last time. And her campaign hyped up the "he w will not say who he supports for Governor"

So normally I would agree with you it is stupid but if you use the strategy in your own arsenal expect it to boom-a-rang back at ya!

Her options, Crazy Donald Trump, Kasich, Cruz, The Socialist Sanders and the Lying Cheating Hillary. Wow!

Throw all the lying cheating bums out, Onward to Cleveland and let's get on with the real fight. Tell that whiner Trump to run his third party and Hillary walks back into the WHouse.

You are all freakin Crazy

Eyes on the prizes.

Make choice - take a stand, let us know. If your pick is #2, so what... support the party nominee, but take a stand for a primary pick. Hell, why not? Afraid of being wrong. That would be a first.

Gosh, can't tarnish her hard-earned PR image, right?

Danny do you still want to know everything about her too? Shoe size? She has no rights to keep it to herself? You put a (DA!) on your own post. Sure she isn't going to tarnish her rep.
