Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have reason to love NY tonight after lopsided victories in their respective party primaries for President. Secretary Clinton beat back Senator Bernie Sanders by double digits to increase her delegate lead and was rewarded by media drumbeat for the Senator to fold his cards.
On the GOP side, Donald Trump exceeded polling estimates to finish near 60%. He will take the lion's share of the 95 delegates. Network estimates put Mr. Trump in a range of 86 to 93 delegates.
In NNY, Bernie Sanders won Jefferson , Lewis and the Big County, as did Donald Trump.
As for Senator Ted Cruz...He finished third.
The races move on to five Mid-Atlantic states next Tuesday.
