Autofry to Come to Arena

The City is looking into the purchase of ventless fryers called Autofry. I had one of these years ago and they work well. The oil vessel is contained in the cabinet which has a fire extinguisher that meets codes.
You put the product in one chute and hit the start button and the basket lowers into the oil and lifts it out at the right time. The basket is then dumped out another chute. They are solidly built and come in larger sizes. The one I had was limited in capacity.
I've not seen any others around here and I sold mine but it's a good option to consider.
As one who has owned and used one, I'd be glad to offer my observations. There's lots of gadgets for commercial kitchens these days.

Wouldn't it be just as easy and better to put in the right system the first time, and now there wouldn't be any problems.
This with all the gadgets, also comes with problems with those gadgets and will it be able to handle the many French fries and items the rink use to sell?
I know for a fact, during the kids events, and others, that many French fries were sold and you didn't have time to wait for a machine to do the cooking.
Also, is there really going to be a Sign Variance given to the host agency who made the ordinance??? Maybe all those businesses and church groups who have been made to change or remove their signs had the right response in the first place.. its bull **** and there are many other important things to worry about than a sign. Now its funny that change is going to be made because it affects them.. how funny.. How business oriented are the people who want business in the city now?

To bad these suggestions were not heeded before you left office...

Why not, right Jeff?
The former administration already squandered nearly 11 million taxpayer dollars on your pet project...

If you were to throw a politician into this machine, will the spit out be something you could eat?

They had one of those at the pop corn shop on the square and the place always smelled like a dumpster behind a Chinese restaurant. You won't see any successful food programs that use one. You need to vent the odors, not just make it fire code compliant. Soon the new paint in the arena would look the same color as the ceiling in a chain smokers apartment. Nice try though.

Whodathunk it...you turn it over to amateurs and you get amateurish results.

Is that not who was elected? You need to run for office 7:27.

and it only takes 8 people to run it.

7:27 where getting lunch?

Addison and Gardner have to watch to see work really is.

They should have the fire department run the snack bar.

They find a solution, and people bitch.

It is correct to point out that fry odor is a big part of these self contained units. They are also fairly low capacity and simply can not churn out real volume like a commercial fryer would. These are a cheat plain and simple and require a lot of time to clean. Nice try but we should have thought this whole thing through a little better.

This was a big problem with the former council; they simply did not do their homework and always thought that they knew better than the taxpayer. Can't wait ti cast my vote against Bug man and the ditz. Then maybe we can get some real leaders that are not afraid to hire a real city manager this time. She is the worst that I have ever seen. Guess that is why she slinks around and hides from the media. This whole situation shows a real lack of leadership from council, Addison and Gardner. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

The CM has little to do with the budget. The Dept. Heads submit, CM reviews, and we pay. Hence the Dept. Heads are at fault.

No, the department heads cant run their departments. thats why we have a high priced lawyer telling the city that they should run the fire department.
maybe if she allowed the chief to run the department and not micromanage, then maybe the prices would be a little cheaper and he would run it with what he has.. not simply threats.
The cuts need to start at City hall with all the office jobs.. not the ones who are out in the streets, weather, trucks, cars etc protecting our city and making sure it is clean and plowed.

11:44 you try and run a city of lazy union employees. I would work towards privatizing the whole lot of city employees.
