17 Days to Hondas in Watertown

The new FX Caprara Honda is nearing opening day and they have a countdown clock on their website, setting the opening on May 1.

The store will bring the popular Honda brand back to Watertown and is expected to boom as pent up demand is released.   One looking to buy right away is Councilwoman Teresa Macaluso who wants a new CRV to replace her old one.

There is a fantastic promotion coming if you hold off buying for 30-90 days.
Remember when they did a photo op of the groundbreaking and said they would be open by last fall? Did anyone believe that projected opening time frame?

I know it was a decision made at Honda corporate, but it would have been better to have the front of the business facing Rt. 12. I'm sure corporate saw it was next to an interstate on a map, and thought 1000's of cars would notice it while driving past, but you can't see it from 81. Looks out of place the way it's facing now. Pamela planning board, or Caprara should have fought that decision.

It will be nice to have a local Honda dealer though, and I'm sure it will do a roaring business regardless.

Shes making this purchase without a study being done?? Must be just taxpayers money she likes to waste as I am sure she "just doesn't understand"

437, you don't know what you are talking about. The building belongs facing I81 as it is. Its the ones down at Pulaski that are facing the wrong direction. They must have learned from that mistake,

Watertown? You want me to bring you a map of the county Jeff? Caprara is opening their newest shop in the town of Pamelia. They were likely sick of paying exorbitant taxes and a decided to open outside of Watertown.

I'll have to drop you off a map of the county Jeff. The new Caprara dealership is in T.O Pamelia. For good reason too. Lower taxes.

From the comments here, it sounds like they won't be allowed to sell to anyone in the city of Watertown. If that is wrong and they CAN sell to people in the city, then it can be said they are indeed bringing the brand back to Watertown...amongst other places in the north country. You got a tough crowd here mayor Graham. Stupid...but tough nonetheless.

8:08 It's facing a hill/off ramp, not 81. Can't see it from 81. Corporate clowns just looking at a map and not topography.

Why would they not want the dealership seen from 81? Let me make it easy on some of you. People drive by, see the dealership, have money in their pockets, and drive to it to purchase a car. Wow!
