WDT: Massena mayor proposes no tax increase in tentative 2016-17 budget

Massena Mayor Timmy Currier has proposed a no tax increase budget and this is a fellow you have to keep an eye on politically. He is a former police chief, and media darling who many thought might seek the Assembly seat when Assemblywoman Russell looked vulnerable after the last race.
She now looks solid for 2016, but Mayor Currier is well positioned should things change. By the way, isn't it great that the Mayor gets to craft and propose the budget ?

You crafted from behind the scenes the budget that proposed a 22% hike in the levy and then thought you did a stroke of good business when you settled for a 10% increase.

You just proved voters have good memories

No tax increase? That is not very democrat of him. what about all the rich people that own property? shouldn't they pay their fair share?

Good guy, and, most definitely one to keep an eye on. Real world leadership running a police department. We need more like this and less "career" politicians who may been crafted into the art from day one. Wish him best of luck.

Mr. Currier seems to know how to stretch the tax payers hard earned dollars, Contrary to belief raising property taxes year after year is not the norm as neighboring cities to his south would have us believe .

Addie the Maid looks solid? Jeff, it's time to stop running around with Ted Ford. The only people she is solid with is the education industry. She words them as hard as she worked Sheldon's parties.
