At least he came out , with a public support for Mr. Trump; I do not remember, this much interest in a presidential election , since JFK. I remember the young catholic kids claiming that if Nixon becomes president, we would have to go to school 7 days a week. Sounds a lot like all this trash talk against the Trumpster. Oh, and did anyone else hear the radio clip this morning with Hillary Clinton , saying that she never lied to the families' of the Benghazi murder victims? Was she implying that the families were lying , about her lying ? If the statement is correct, then I believe that she has sunk to an all time low, as a person. If she talks to God every day, I am sure that she would incur Gods' wrath.

I never thought I would agree on much with the canidate Matt Doheny but this is certainly an exception. A true American and a proven leader Mr Trump would certainly help NNY in many ways. I am sorry our Congressional represenative Ms Stefanik has chosen to stay silent until told by the party chosen few who to endorse.. Not good leadership lady..
I also resent the nazi comments Mr Trump has recieved.. These people had better read a little American history and see a reaL Nazi family in the Bushes family dating back to WW1, WW@ Korean war and yes in George HW Bushes administration who had no less than 40
people in it that had at one time been affiliated to the Nazi Party.. The Bush family to date has profited million and millions of dollars from war..

6:07- no I've seen him around every now and then. He's making those motivational posters now. I'm not kidding. Like the cat poster that says "hang in there" underneath.

He was a horrible goalie in school....

Doheny ran as the ultimate establishment candidate. If he had this anti-establishment epiphany during any of his runs for elected office, he would now be our MOC.

Did he play for Carthage Justin?

It must be cold out on his islands. Maybe he is hoping for a shot at VP.

I disagree. He wasn't a horrible goalie. He went to the camp that all the pre-NHL guys are invited to attend. He was one of the few there that didn't make it into the NHL but he was still good. If you ask him what went wrong he says he got distracted by a girl and took his eye off the ball. We've all been there but it's got to suck that the guy has gotten so close to greatness more than once in his life but has fallen short. First the NHL, then Congress. I hope he's happy anyway.

Ummm, this "endorsement" might actually cost Trump votes.

Question: is it really an endorsement when the endorser has never been elected to anything? Is this letter to the editor even print worthy?

My issue isn't whether Doheny's endorsement meant anything, it's that his endorsement said nothing other than "vote for Trump because I am". I would have been much more impressed if Matt had taken the time to articulate specific reasons why he supported Trump. If he had put some thought into his op-ed piece then it might have had merit, but the handful of sentences he slapped together in 5 minutes and sent off to print did not add any value to any political discussions whatsoever. So I agree it was not print worthy but not because of who wrote it because of what was written, or better said not written. I expected much more from Matt than this thoughtless piece with absolutely zero substance. It reads like it was written by an uneducated lightweight instead of an astute businessman with his finger of the pulse of politics.

Uhhh... "an astute businessman with his finger of the pulse of politics" 741am - which maybe he ain't?

8:29- I don't disagree with you. I've seen no supporting evidence. I was trying to be nice I guess.
