The numbers seem to point to a Trump win in Cleveland, but there are still meetings among insiders devising ways to derail him, even talking about a conservative third party candidate (unlikely). The Speaker has not ruled out swooping in at the Convention in Cleveland.
Donald Trump had a big night, but is still talking about polls and the crooked press.
Some have seen their candidates (Bush, then Rubio) crash and burn and still seem reluctant....
But the old ways are not the ways of this year and many new to Republican primary voting may herald a transformation the bow tie GOP can't imagine.
The primary onslaught slows a little with AZ the big prize next week. Fifty eight votes in a winner take all. That's a state Mr Trump seems well positioned in.....New York's April 19 primary is looking more and more important. Who would have thought ?
So far, only one person in NNY GOP politics (a former candidate and behind the scenes activist) has openly backed Mr. Trump. Will anyone else ?
