Skaters Happy As Watertown's Arena Opens | WWNY TV 7

Finally, after all the sniping and griping, the Fairgrounds Arena is open and the users are pleased, according to WWNY.  Youngsters on the ice and their parents were thrilled at the renovated facility.
After advocating for the project and pushing it through at considerable political cost, it is good to see someone enjoying it.
The roll out was decidedly low key, but a little good press is welcome.

Maybe the city can rent Gas Grills and everyone can cook their own hot dogs at the arena. Just saying.

15 years too late. This is why people don't want to live here. Most municipalities of this size already have something like this. In cities where there are colleges obviously they have a huge advantage. Can we for once get ahead of the curve around here? And it will not be properly utilized with the current management staff. Make the adjustments, stop writing about it and make this a winner. I commend the new council for moving quicker than the old.

Ten million so some skaters can be happy. Such a comforting thought.

That is funny 445,that is exactly what I thought as I saw twenty or so skaters going around.Meanwhile other people are priced out of using it,like the Italia fest, what a joke that fiasco turned out to be.
