Matthews Scores the Gotcha Question as Effort to Portray Trump as Anti Woman Continue | Daily Mail Online

In the relentless effort to derail the Trump candidacy, Chris Matthews became an icon today...pestering Trump on abortion, the all consuming issue of the left. Matthews got Mr. Trump to concede that if illegal, abortion would have to carry a sanction against the recipient. The correct pro-life position is the doctor should suffer.

The Trump campaign walked back the gaffe, but it gave the media all they needed for the latest Trump debacle.

Pro life is tough for people who are essentially pro choice but have to say the contrary to remain in favor with "the base."

I remember a few years back a local candidate who had gone on bent knee to Mike Long, insisting he was pro life, but when confronted by a woman at a Chamber dinner, he looked her in the eye and said, "maam, I am a pro choice Republican."  That told me all I needed to know about how tough it is to pursue a true pro life position when you don't really believe it.

Trump got had by Matthews and looks doomed in Wisconsin.

'The woman is a victim!': Trump WALKS BACK proposal that Americans who have abortions should face 'some form of punishment' – saying it's the DOCTORS he wants to see jailed, not pregnant women | Daily Mail Online

The lying media said he proposed punishing women for having abortions. But he never said he would punish woman for having them. He could have meant he would punish the doctors for performing them.

"...Pro life is tough for people who are essentially pro choice but have to say the contrary to remain in favor with "the base."...." Exactly. And you are describing your hero Donald Trump to a tee. You don't really believe he spent 40 years of his life being very pro-choice and now all of a sudden, when he runs for President, a deeply committed pro-life candidate do you? And now all these idiots who never voted before in their life are on the Trump Train. How disgusting. Talk about low information voters.

This is why he can't be president. This is a guy he knew was going to throw questions like this at him. He can't think before he speaks and is generally unprepared. For those reasons alone he can't be head of state. And believe me, I don't think Hillary can either, not in any way shape or form. He just isn't presidential. But, the current guy has set the precedent that you don't have to be so maybe the Don gets in. Our choices are not good.

Betcha Matthews has a tingle down his leg on this one. More like a golfer's gush.

I'm pro-life, plain and simple. However, if you have a woman who can murder her own child in cold blood and live with herself, the kid is probably better off not being born anyway.

The question is; when does a fetus become a human. Very difficult to find the answer. The moment a human is conceived an abortion is murder!

Just more proof trump isn't cut out to be president. No one with a brain will surprised when he fails to get the gop nomination.

How come the big news media, do not ask someone, who is prolife, their opinion? All the controversial question responses, seem to come from the mouthy minority. I believe the majority are prolife. How do Christians , Muslims, etc., view abortion? Life is a gift, to take it, is a spiritual crime.
