Delegate Rules in NY Could be Used to Thwart Trump

New York's new GOP delegate selection rules  may help derail Donald Trump in his home state.  No longer are slates of actual people run, but it's an allocation of votes for the first ballot.
The actual people are picked by the party's NY leadership, a group likely to pick people who will bolt Mr. Trump on subsequent ballots.
All the more reason Mr. Trump has to get 1237 on the first ballot.  New York has 95 delegates selected by CD.

The most important goal for the GOP this election cycle is to defeat Hillary in the general election. The second objective is to retain control of the Senate. Party leaders need to deal with anyone or anything that jeopardizes those goals. For his part, Trump must demonstrate before the convention that he can close the gap in the polls between himself and Clinton and show that he is electable, something that is not happening to date. Absent that showing at convention time, he must be removed as a potential nominee. It's for that reason, he's sinking in the latest polls.

Either way trump is toast , cant possibly win a general election . His belittling and alienation of major segments of the majority demographics will SINK him like a rock in a general election
