GOP in Senate Does a Little Dance on $15 Wage They Will Ultimately Approve

The leader of Republicans in the State Senate says he is trying to find ways to soften the blow from the $15 minimum wage...That means Leader Flanagan is going to support it, so let's just get it over with....Get a little extra school aide for the Island and we are all set.
How you going to not have $15 when the Governor outfoxed everybody with his wage board ruling on fast food workers ?

Where is Patty Plate on this? Does she get a pass as Flanigan will allow her to vote no as he has the votes in hand. As ag committee chair one would expect her to be jumping up and down over these proposals that will wreak havoc on the biggest industry in her district, yet... Crickets. Oh I'm sure John Johnson will hold her feet to the fire, haha

$15 minimum wage will destroy the upstate economy. Get ready for Watertown to look like Massena.

Every small business in NY is currently looking to get out. The left has destroyed the American Dream for virtually everyone but the elite and now they are driving the nail home with a vengeance in NY. A cnicken in every pot, and a car in e dry garage. This time it will end equaliy as bad.

I went to Albany and personally met with Senator Flanagan. If this is true, then I will say he lied to my face, and to the face of many people since the NY Post article came out. The bigger enemy is the family leave portion. A small business or farmer hires someone for $15 which they can afford. Then after a week they say I'm taking 3 months off to take care of my girlfriends grandmother. So now for the business owner it's either pay $15 an hour and go without help, or hire another Nad it costs $30 an hour!

The small business can NOT afford the $15. Everything else is spot on. We small business are not Walmart. Time to fly.

Hey Russ, I sure hope you ain't a Trump fan, he is in on the con.

He is either really stupid or this is his swan song. Has anyone heard a peep why he has been MIA for the last 5-10 years on the business environment in upstate NY? Have you heard the Trumpster say anything
on this family leave act.

You failed to leave one important thing out, this covers singles too, so you hire someone not married and they are feeling too too stressed out, guess what they can take a family leave, if you don't give it to them they are going to cry discrimination.

Slam and hit Addie hard on this, forget Bryne, it's Addie we need to rid ourselves of.

Russ Finley you are a patriot !
Hopefully, the local GOP doesn't support that RINO guy again, and back you this time.

But why in your example, would you say the farmer can afford $15/hr???
Look at all the businesses and farmers in your neck of the woods that couldn't afford the old minimum wage, much less a new higher one.
