Assemblywoman sanctioned for retaliating on male aide | WGRZ.com

Ah to be young, attractive and in a position of power and influence. Mix in a vibrant libido and a nasty breakup when the hubby found out, all in today's workplace and you have the dreaded sanctions against a Western New York Assemblywoman.

The boy toy complained when Angela Wozniak sent him packing as part of the damage control with the hubby. The Assembly says she used incredibly bad judgment in having an affair with a subordinate. No kidding...That and there's no need to be married when in Albany. It gets in the way.

It's an election year, and we'll see if this affects her prospects.

Poor judgement, you think? Having a sexual relationship with a subordinate is a lot more than just bad judgement it is a good reason to send this person packing. Her action represent a major breach of the public trust and says a lot about her morals and her ability to lead. This person should loose her job plain and simple. I am so glad that nothing like this is going on here in our community, huh Jeff?

Unfortunately, this seems pretty acceptable in today's society and all is well until someone gets mad, caught or made an example of. One doesn't have to look far in our own neighborhood of public jobs and see less than professional decisions over powered by love. However, it doesn't seem to make the news locally these days. Perhaps if it did some might think twice.

Relationships aren't the only poor decisions elected leaders have made while in office. Glad nothing like that goes on in our fair community, right Jeff?

Interesting, this time the typical gender roles are reversed. Would the media narrative be the same if an Assemblyman had an affair with a female subordinate? Also the Ethic Committee couldn't bother to dish out a hand slap.

The affair may not have been illegal but the cover up and treatment afterward are certainly up for scrutiny. NYS Ethics Committees are as useful as a third arm pit on a hot day.

Jeez, ya think she would have learned from her predecessor. Dennis Gabryzsak resigned January 2014 because of inappropriate sexual behavior and assembly staff doing political work. He was fined $100,000. There must be something in the water in the 143rd district.

Yes 9:08..."in today's society".
We pine for the old days...back before people had sex and before affairs at the workplace were invented.

Typical young and dumb republican.

The guy has every right to file a sexual harrassment suit, he was fired because the husband got caught the wife playing hanky panky.

I sure hope there aren't any kids involved. Maybe the husband got wind of the wife's sexual paramours from the release of all those names on that married cheating site. I can't even recall the name of it at this point.

Hey 1:38 I'm just saying that today it is no big deal. There are affairs in local government and businesses that are not appropriate but nothing done or said. Years ago people could risk their job or stature in the community and people were a little more discreet. Now.....life goes on out in the open I guess.
