Another Young Life Ends in the Obits Due to Drugs.

While it doesn't affect everyone and is pervasive everywhere, this area's tragic fallout from heroin continued this week with the death of an appx.  25 year old woman, on top of so many others. We don't do names here unless they are in the public domain. The woman was found this week in her apartment in the City.
While it's a personal tragedy for the families, in some ways it's too bad word is not in the news so folks could get a better grasp of something talked about so much.

It is very tragic and my heart goes out to the family. Sometimes you just get so downtrodden with despair that the temporary high out weighs the risk of not waking up.

".....While it's a personal tragedy for the families, in some ways it's too bad word is not in the news so folks could get a better grasp of something talked about so much...." Make up your mind. On previous posts you lumped in heroin use (needles were your reference) with bedbugs, VD, rundown buildings and tattoos. Issues not to be talked about lest it harm the city's reputation (or put Mr. Jennings in the spotlight.) Vain.

Yet certain politicians want to let our "no violent" drug dealers out of prison. Ridiculous!
We need to band together and start snitching. It's really not that hard to catch these guys...

8:54, try to keep up. The mayor didn't say this should be on the front page.

I think we should be talking about this issue publicly. I recently met a lady that told me about finding out about her daughter's heroin addiction. The parent immediately found a rehab facility downstate and when the daughter had finished there they immediately shipped her to N/S Carolina area where they have a residential rehab program.
Unfortunately, this girls friends did not get the same help and at least 7, yes 7, say it again, 7 of this girls friends are dead, two of them brothers. Lock up you children, lock up your wife or husband, whomever you care about and have a heart to heart about this drug. I have spent so much time thinking about the lady and her story, just heartbreaking to hear that Watertown has lost at least 7 young lives to something to stupid.
