Obama to begin process of vetting Supreme Court candidates over the weekend

I don't know if our legal elites like Lee Hector are on the President's list, but the POTUS will spend the weekend reviewing resumes for Associate Justice of the SCOTUS.

Lee would like the job security and would be good at the collegial stuff, as well as navigating DC high society.

And as a Republican, Lee would fare better during confirmation.

When is he going to follow the Constitution and get advice from the Senate? It doesn't do any good to get advice after the fact. Come to think of it, the Senate already gave him advice...they said they advise keeping the Court at eight until further notice.

very impressive man Mr. Hector is. I would like to him replace Slye as city counsel.

So the Liar in Chief is going to work this weekend on his next Supreme Court nominee. No suspense here. It will be yet another example of pandering to some special interest. No common folks need apply. The nominee will be a Native American, a lesbian, red haired, handicapped, foreign born, union loving, speech impaired, left handed, bearded party line Polish American who plays golf. Knowledge and respect for the Constitution, just as with his softball playing appointees, is extremely optional. In a sense, he/she will be just like him.

Anonymous 7:34 - are you daft? Mr. Obama does not need prior advice or advance consent from the Senate to "vett" any possible nominee...

Appointments must be approved by the Senate therein is the advice and consent" process part...

Danny are you daft? Advice means advice, it doesn't mean to approve. I didn't say Obama needs to do anything. I just told the truth that he has to get advice first if he wants to follow the Constitutions. But we all know he doesn't. It is two separate roles the Senate plays. Advise means "Guidance or recommendations concerning prudent future action"

The Prez nominates, but with this GOP, I wouldn't ask them for the time of day. The next move is theirs... Mr.Obama does his duty - they need to step up and do theirs.
