Michael Bloomberg running for President is about as likely as Phil Reed running for Assembly. They always talk about it but pulling the trigger is another thing. No offense intended, as its a big commitment.
Mr. Bloomberg's cash certainly makes a bid viable, and he would have to jump in soon to start meeting all the ballot access requirement in 50 states plus DC.
While a smart businessman, Mayor Bloomberg would have trouble connecting, especially in the fly-over states. He could actually skip ballot access in about thirty states.
If he got in , he surely would have the campaign that would change all the dynamics, and the simple 'spoiler' arguments would be made but so what. If people want to vote for someone else, so be it.
This idea of a 'sensible center' candidate may not fly this year and with so much said about the rich dominating policy, who wants a billionaire who makes The Donald look like middle class.
