Mayor Answers Student Questions

Mayor Butler surely enjoyed his chance to answer student questions at Wiley School today. It was always something I enjoyed, whether it was Q & A or reading stories to younger students.

Did they have school today? What was the occasion? They were off the Friday before last due to cold weather or something. Then all last week. I never expected them to go back to work today.

should have sent Macalluso.
She would have fit right in, but might have been intimidated by their questions. They are in 6th grade..

It is very nice to see Mayor Butler doing things like this in the community. I know that there was a lot of speculation that he would not have the time to be very active in local good will efforts. Hope that he is able to keep a connection to real people.

Now if we can just get the council to start listening to the citizens we may be able to pull ourselves out of the funk the city appears to be in. People obviously want to go in a new direction and we may want to start by weeding out some of the old guard. Hope the next election puts two more fresh faces on the council. Its is time to say goodbye to both Macaluso and Jennings. They are painful to listen to and not very well informed.
