Donald Trump has won the NH Presidential primary for the GOP, while the inevitable path for Hillary Clinton to the White House has been for now blocked by an obscure self described socialist named Bernie Sanders.
Mr. Trump easily beat the establishment candidates and heads south with a head of steam. Ohio Governor John Kasich appears to have won a clear second place, keeping his hopes alive. It looks like JEB! is third and Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio at fourth and fifth, with the latter seeing an Iowa bounce cast askew by a Saturday night rhetorical knifing by Chris Christie.
For Senator Sanders, tomorrow brings breakfast with Reverand Al in NYC as the Vermonter tries to expand his coalition to include Hillary Clinton's "firewall" of black voters.
Looks like the polls were pretty accurate in NH and we will see the effect of the Granite State on upcoming contests in NV and SC.
Will the prospect of a Trump-Sanders race in the fall bring Michael Bloomberg in ? I doubt it, as the Clinton machine and the Democratic establishment will be ready with brass knuckles for a mugging the likes of which you don't see in Burlington.
