23 Die in Buffalo in Two Weeks Due to Heroion Laced with Fentanyl

It became a top issue in the NH Primary.....We reported the other day on the observations of OD deaths by local morticians. Now a headline of heroin killing 23 in two weeks in Buffalo.
Serious problem but nobody knows what to do, and besides the war on drugs is such a cottage industry, it's not easily altered no matter the need.

A few more batches like that and the drug problem would be solved.

Prohibition is a failed concept. Its time to shift to addiction treatment and public health. If people want something there going to great it no matter what the law says.

We don't know if prohibition is a failed concept because we don't hold dealers and users accountable. In fact we let them out of prison early. In comparison, Singapore has no drug problem at all, because they kill drug dealers. Now you might think its a bad idea to kill drug dealers because you might get falsely accused. But rest easy knowing there is more chance that a drug dealer will kill you than there is that the justice system will. But now we see that putting deadly drugs on the street is an easier way to solve the problem. No trial was necessary.

This drug is one of the most dangerous ones out there. It's easy to get and it's cheap. It's a major problem everywhere, including here. We really need to have a much more aggressive education campaign against this killer.

Hard drugs should be free but must be taken in large amounts under supervision. Then they will ultimately die and good riddance to them! Singapore has a great program.

9:24,
I must respectfully disagree with your conclusion. Everybody has known what drugs do to you for the last 50 years and it hasn't deterred drug use one little bit. Sadly, the recovery rate is so low, it's hardly worth the effort to spend the money on rehabilitation programs. Have four family members who got messed up on one variety of that shit or another. One straightened up and got their life together, but they did it on their own. One got off the stuff, (I think) but is so messed up they will never be worth a bucket of spit. The third is off the stuff, most of the time, but ain't never been quite right. Can't quite give up their hippie ways. The fourth is currently doing 3-5 and the chances of that one ever recovering is so low that it isn't worth trying to calculate. Sadly, you really can't fix stupid.

It shows how weak people are. They know shoving the crap into their arm could kill them and they do it anyway. How do you help a person like that? I'm sorry, there is no plan for a person like that. None. Before you get mad because you stopped using. Good for you, you passed the test in life. You are not a weak person. But you have little chance to save a person who knows it will kill them and they keep buying.

That is why legalizing it is best Ray,and show kids early on what the losers that use end up being.Instead,we glamorize it as something dangerous, like the cops are out looking for you, such a big thrill.I bet if they just showed what it is,give them their daily fix,and showed how pathetic it really is more kids would be saying,no,no way I want in on that crap.
