WDT:| North country legislators say minimum wage plan needs careful review

There's really nothing they can do. The wage board is a legal construct that could possibly be contested in court, but unlikely....With the higher wages for fast food workers, other employers will have to be brought into line. That's the beauty of the Cuomo strategy.

As for our lawmakers responding to the premise that NFP's must be protected, they will say what they have to say and what happens will happen.

Ok though that the North Country legislators make 3 times the median wage of the North Country, or the Head of the NFP's make 3 figure salaries, Double talk by Addie on this.....Her Food Pantry in her community is still waiting for money from her.

Our governor and legislators are either mentally unstable, or just plain old fashioned vote pandering sleeve bags . 90% of the businesses in America have less than 20 employees, Our politicians blather on about corporate greed on one side and how the increase in wage may somehow "harm" non for profits and hospitals . Clueless government nipple attached recipients across the state are now afraid that somehow they won't get all the free care and bennies from all the various non profits that they so richly deserve, while they are falsely led to beleive that somehow large corporations are actually the reasons there is no longer an American Dream.

Yet virtually not a peep about the effect this will have on the majority of the employers in our state, and the inevitable destruction that this will ultimately have on the ability to operate a privately owned business, and allow private employment to people who don't actually want to work in the government machine.

What an utter disgrace this state and its corrupt politicians are. We continue to bleed multigenerational families and businesse, in exchange for the outstretched hands and open mouths of government sponsored immigrants. Our state is turning into an experiment in Marxism. It's no wonder we allow our IDA's to hand out grants to businesses. Who else in their right mind would open a business in this state except those who can only survive by big brothers handouts.

What a bunch of slimeballs.

Dajeep and Ima, our two best posters. We don't need no stinkin' golfer. We can get that view on Rachel Maddow's show.

You have to hand it to pAddie Ritchie.
She doesn't take a stand against raising the minimum wage like she should, instead she takes the stand that we need more freestuff for the NFP's in the North Country.

When is a republican going to run for that seat?

Explain yourself, 6:18.

9:43 6:18 was written most likely but Addie's staffer. Deflect, deflect deflect.

Why is that always your fallback 747? Somebody posts about Pattie and you claim it's this mysterious addie staffer. Ever think maybe voters aren't happy with Patty? Unlike you who continues to be her personal bellhop?

Two-faced for sure ... Pols always run on "jobs, helping the workers, etc..." yet they won't help them earn a decent living wage. Give me a frickin' break. I say their salaries and put them on minimum wages for one full year and see how they like it.
