WDT: High winds predicted tonight through Sunday in NNY; significant storm expected next week

In this odd winter where we are looking to a 50+ day tomorrow and all the snow we have melting, there is amazement when normal January weather shows up in a forecast....This is the heart of winter we are entering with the statistically coldest day of the year on the 25th.

Every nice day is a day closer to spring but there will be snow, hopefully to the south of us.  When you hear someone at the water cooler Monday saying we are going to get "slammed", remind them its the middle of winter and its supposed to be cold and its supposed to snow.

I think on balance this winter will be among the easiest any of us remember and I enjoy the smaller tithing to Grid.
