WDT: Concession Vendors Have Till Wednesday to Submit Bids

With many unknowns six potential vendors (me and five others) have until Wednesday to decide to submit bids to operate the Fairgrounds Arena concession stand.
The bid package suggests a minimum of $9500 for the deal which would last roughly 16 months, but equiping the stand would largely be done by the vendor and its not entirely known what it all will look like and what electrical and plumbing alterations may be needed.
It's a large up front cost and a difficult operation to run as a side business. And without the alcohol as part of the deal, even more dubious.
However a majority of Council supported this approach although as you can see in the article, they had no input on the specifics, and the devil is always in he details.
