Trump, Cruz Dominate Latest Debate

Criticizing "NY values" gave Donald Trump a hanging curve to defend the Big Apple during 9/11, and the Ted Cruz birther issue continued to bring attention to the Texas Senator he doesn't need.
Last night's GOP debate in SC seemed to be the best performance yet by Mr. Trump while his principle opponent was defending his origins and his Senate record.
The other candidates faded into the background as Trump and Cruz grappled with just over two weeks till Iowa voters kick off the primary/caucus season.
Those hoping  for a Jeb! revival came away disappointed.

I think Rubio and Christie gained some ground too.
But the clock is running out.

Cruz won the dust up with Trump but Trump looked good, reasonable and competent while losing.

Its actually sad watching the Republican field destroy each other. Trump is so unlike the rest of the Politicans that its not even funny. Blunt and call it like it is Trump.. Politcally correct, or lie and say what the person your talking to Bush, Cruz, Rubio and the rest.. Oh my thers a new Sheriff in town.

Cruz will win Iowa. It will begin the quick fade of Donald thereafter.

Didnt watch this debate however , its become increasingly obvious that grassroots America wants Donald Trump.. Corporate America and the big Pacs are still non comittal howerver I believe they want Bush, especially the Military Corporations.. If I were Mr Trump I might beef up my security, because throughout this Bush history a lot of people have been silenced any many ways and for a lot less than this.
From his Nazi supporter Grandfather to his Father and his dealings with the CIA and contra affairs and GW Bush and 911 War and the Supreme Court affair giving GW the election against Gore..
YUP Donald you might tighten up a little.

7:31am

Again with the NAZI supporter Grandfather. The Bush family, along with the Clintons and Obama are responsible for much of the mess we are in, but Prescott Bush was far less of a supporter of German Socialism than Joe Kennedy, Henry Ford or Charles Lindberg. Once War began they all rallied around our flag and did what needed to be done to win the war. There are plenty of valid criticisms of the Bush Family and far more recent. Why don't you use them?

7:31 Heeeeeee's back. Now who has/was and were running guns for Syria. Why it's the Fanatical Islam Terrorist Cheerleaders Hillary and Obama. Anti Semetic and Anti Christian and Anti White.

Yup, can we talk about Holder and running guns to the Mexican Drug Cartel and the death of Mr. Terry. All under the orders of Obama.

Now we have mouthpiece of the Progressives Sean Penn saying all those deaths byt the Drug Cartels are America's fault.

Sip sip that laced koolaid.

Principle is misspelled.

If the REPs want to win this time they need to get it over with quick. No big dirty drag out fight like last time. Before they were done four years ago, no one on the DEMs side needed to tell us the dirt. We were supplied by the Republican Party up front. Romney was dirt. Trump's own party is painting him bad for the country. Rock, Paper, ....done.

The primaries should be interesting. Trump will take states like NY, Florida and California. Cruz will take Texas and a large block of Southern states. A Trump/Cruz ticket is looking likely.

Yes, good arguments and clever back and forth neat barbs, but in the final analysis in my view, either are very presidential and overall they offer nothing except entertainment, and that display shows me how bad of shape the Grand Old Party is in for this upcoming cycle.

Substance, where? Innovative ideas, lacking. That debate early on was a carefully controlled FOX clip with canned and leading questions and the only two on the stage with any presidential presence in my view were John Kasich and Chris Christie and only Kasich passes that muster in any regard -- he is a thinker and has the record of compromise and innovation ... the others - all pretty shallow.

Cruz's comments about NY City had nothing to do with their response to 9/11. Ted's comments about the Rotten Apple are nothing more than every upstate New Yorker already knows. As a matter of fact Cruz was being rather timid in his criticism about NYC. They deserve far worse.
