River District Intrigue.....Well, For Me, at Least

Next week is the NYS Conservative Party's C-PAC event in Albany and the two likely GOP candidates for the River District will be there to court for the coveted Wilson Pakula. While Russ Finley and John Byrne will likely be in a GOP primary, there will be no Conservative primary as only one W/P will be penned by Chairman Mike Long....Well, of course a registered C could run without that , but if the C line is to be the GOP "me too" line against Addie Russell, it will be Mr. Long's choice.
Other names mentioned like Joe Gilbert and Phil Reed are not so likely and if they don't have Chairman Long's ear, they are not going anywhere.
It will be a more spirited defense by the Democratic incumbent this time as Ms. Russell has opposition dossiers on both men and it won't be a case of holding back like last time.
The bar in Oneonta, the plastics company, the financing of the 2014 bid are all in play as issues, and for Mr. Finley, the Dems need only let the media devour him as the press is pro Byrne.
Despite all the GOP hype about taking out Ms. Russell, this year's field doesn't look like the unified front they need to do it.  Somehow that Orleans salt pile might not be enough.
Wish I had time to go to CPAC to see what's up.

I really thought the primary thing was in the past you need to work things out behind closed doors. Before the election, when you fight against one another you already giving a seasoned Politician like the one your going up against the upper hand. When your out spoken like I am you really have to clean your back yard up, when your running for office you have to sweep barn clean. Addie is going to come for you fellas....

Quit being a baby, and run.

Go get em Addie. There sure is a lot of dark crap in John Byrne's closet.

With $138 in her campaign kitty, no record of legislative accomplishments to speak of, and a hopelessly liberal record that's just so out of touch with North Country voters, it's pretty clear that Addie has run outta gas. It's the GOP's to lose.

Addie Russell: "Well you really don't need a dossier on Assemblywoman Russell, just wait to we keep seeing all those photo ops. with her hero, the 'convicted' former Speaker Sheldon Sliver; and quote from her legal like defenses of Silver, which amounted to her support of a culture of corruption and sexual harassment in Albany, NY." Well at least we know Finley or Byrne can't go to the Little D and ask for him to intervene on their behalf since he burnt the bridge down with Long during his own primary.

Who is afraid of baaaaaaaaad Addie?

Hey Mikey, You forgot Silver's Legal Counsel Michael Boxley might still be practicing law. Can't for the life of me figure out why Shelly's lawyers didn't call on him to be Shelly's character witness or for that matter Addie herself. I believe the taxpayers had to pay for the lawsuits on a few of his sexual attacks on Addie's fellow Women.

Junie herself still silent on those sexual predators in her party? Does she support the sexual predator Billy Clinton or the twisted freak Bernie that has written how all women want their men to come home after working and rape them. Come on Junie, How many Assembly & Senate Members have been convicted of crimes in the last 15 years, I believe the majority come from downstate where Addie receives her marching orders.

Keep emasculating those male donkeys, hee haw

107 Your right.. The only problem I can see is the Elephants are slower to get caught. If LIbous and Skelos who Patty Ritchie supports and votes with for years get caught it could cause the Elephants to be completely useless when the Donkeys take baack the Senate.
Next election cycle could be our chance to get DeDe elected in the Senate I hope.

7:02 A.M.... My thought as well!! Democrats will not primary her then she wins with ease we all go shaking our heads. That's right couldn't figure this out, this is a team effort fellas.. Why Can't Russ beat her? I don't know, I just think he may be the better man on this one. I'm not about to get into bad mouthing John...I just don't understand my fellow Republicans there going to screw another good man out of a shot at a real win. Just my opinion, that the Establishment can't handle. Primary, yell, scream, talk about each others momma, what the FUCK does that do...??

It's not John Byrne's past that will hurt him, voters are quite used to shady characters running our government. He just doesn't present any substance for voters to rally behind.

Jeff, if you are not yet rested from the last election, will you consider running on the Conservative line? Maybe the Republicans would see that is their best chance against Addie. You surewould get a lot of support from a lot of people.
