WDT: The Most Talked About Story of the Week

The long arm of the law reached out and arrested the Christmas Tree thief, and the 41 year old woman got her mug shot in the media to boot after she turned herself and the tree in to police.
The woman dragged the tree from Johnny D's in the Arcade and it was caught on surveillance.

Advice to woman. Don't say you did it while drunk, or you'll get a DWI too.
We are not posting the photo or the name here as well the circumstances are entertaining, embarrassing someone is not.

Maybe if she gets embarrassed by it, which I doubt, she'll never get drunk enough to do something like that again, which I also doubt.

I've had things stolen from my property, or just smashed and broken, because some people are just idiots.

It really ticks me off, and I'm glad that the guy is pressing charges to the full extent of the law.

Good for him...it makes my day!!

Oh my, before I headed out today I read the blog. This picture had me laughing all day long. Just got home and I'm still laughing over it. At least there are individuals out there with a sense of humor.

Nothing says "Christmas spirit", like pressing charges to the full extend of the law, all over a harmless drunken prank. Is this the same company that hosted an obamacare commercial, where they told the 54% who were about to vote for Stefanik, not to believe their lying eyes, that Obamacare sucks? If it is, I would like to see THEM prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Hopefully it will go before judge Renzi and he will adjourn the case in contemplation of dismissal.

Regardless, she chose her path and this will be a lesson to her and others who consider other peoples property to be fair game.
If you feel that strongly that she is the one wronged then contact her, offer her a job or help with expenses.
A driver who doesn't keep their eye on the speedometer and goes a few mph over the limit is going to pay a toll higher than her when the long arm of the law pulls them over. Their worst offense most times is not paying attention.
Most people wouldn't think of taking other peoples property, then you have those who, given the opportunity, would steal your cell phone or purse or in this case your holiday spirit. That's what we have here!
She has already been exposed by the media for what she is now the fine in the courts will satisfy the debt she owes to society.
