WDT: Arena Grief Now Turning to Arena Accolades

For someone who hasn't accomplished anything in years, I take some pride in my advocacy for the now acclaimed Arena project which was floundering just a year ago and needed a hefty expenditure of political capital to get going.

Those who have taken the tour, or at least looked at the outside, are excited about the prospects, as am I.

Will the Hostage have to cut the ribbon, or can a real man like you, who had the insight to do what had to be done, be allowed open the place up?

I think everyone wanted it, but not the $10million dollar version.

You do realize this is why you lost the election, don't you?

This type of humor does not fit you well. The arena is still a big risk... a big expensive building with no users is still not good for the city. Let's hope the flailing parks and recs folks can get this one right. You have accomplished so much, this way of being sarcastic does not fit you well. This project is still in the air..or on thin ice.

Now all the council has to do is find venues seven days a week at the arena to help recoup the taxpayers dollars you spent. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
