Unique Tank Returns to Pearl Street.

The gas tank that shocked and awed both fans and critics has come home. The tank was custom painted by local artist Jeff Rule and depicts the City Seal along with the words, "The Mayor".
At the time I had a Harley Sportster and in its day, there was quite a fuss over the mayor driving a motorcycle.
After selling the bike (stock tank put back on), I asked Gerry Burkhard to work his wood working magic and build a base. It was displayed in my City Hall office since. Now I need to find a place for it.

That is a lifetime heirloom. We are all proud of you, Mr. Mayor. Thanks for the many years of hard work and honest leadership.

1152 Why should Jeff give up a neat heirloom, so one of your not for profits can turn fifty bucks ?

Exactly 1:56. Jeff Rule painted a boat for me a few years back. Shark teeth and bomber girls on the sides. Great job. Jeff was a good distance runner in his day.

Kinney Drugs uses the same logo at the Washington St. Store...

Donate your tank to the museum on Washington street with a small note under it that it was from the mayor of Watertown from a certain period of time. Items that were donated to the museum by others over the years will be there for all to enjoy for years to come. Something to think about.

Just slow down and think about it. Now is not the time for such decisions. But do lock it up. Otherwise, Cindy Habeeb or another Channel 7 or Times operative will steal it.

Rule? Isn't he the guy who painted the American Corner fountain that was crashed so it looked like a shower curtain from Big Lots?
